Quick Start

A brief orientation before you add your first property.

The property tree

The left panel is the property tree - a hierarchy of everything you manage. You build it top-down: a company or building at the top, units inside buildings, tenants inside units. Clicking any item opens its detail page on the right.

On mobile, the tree is hidden. Tap the icon in the top-left corner to open it.

Adding things to the tree

Right-click any item in the tree to get a menu of actions - adding children, deactivating, or deleting. On touch screens, press and hold or use the ... button that appears when you select a node.

The ribbon tabs

The tabs across the top - Property, Expenses, Income, Reports, Documents - switch the right panel between different views for whatever is selected in the tree. The available tabs change depending on what type of node is selected.

First-time setup

  1. Add a building or single family home to the tree (right-click the empty tree area, or use the prompt that appears on a new account).
  2. If it's a building, add units inside it. Single family homes go directly to tenants - no unit needed.
  3. Right-click a unit and choose Add Tenant.
  4. Select the tenant, open the Income tab, and set up a recurring monthly rent charge.
Try Demo Mode first. Go to the ... menu in the top-right and choose View Demo Data. You get a fully populated sample account to explore. Demo data resets every time you log out, so you can't break anything.
