Settings

Open Settings from the ... menu in the top-right corner of the app.

Late Fees

This is where you configure the rules for automatic late fee generation. Without these settings, no late fees will ever be posted - they don't come from anywhere else.

• Grace period - how many days after the charge's due date before a late fee is triggered. A grace period of 5 means rent due on the 1st won't generate a late fee until the 6th.
• Fee type - flat dollar amount, or a percentage of the tenant's monthly rent.
• Maximum - caps the fee regardless of the percentage. Leave blank for no cap.

Late fees are calculated and presented for your approval when you open a tenant's Income tab. They are never posted silently.

Accounts (your contact info)

Your name, email, and phone stored here are the source for the {LandlordName}, {LandlordEmail}, and {LandlordPhone} merge fields in document templates. If those fields are blank on a merged document, this is where to fill them in.

Backup and Restore

Backup downloads your entire account - all properties, tenants, charges, payments, and documents - as a JSON file. Store it somewhere safe.

Restore uploads that file and replaces your current data with the backup contents. This cannot be undone. Make a backup of the current state before restoring.

Demo Data

Enters a practice mode with a fully populated sample portfolio. Everything looks and works exactly like real data. When you log out, demo data resets completely - any changes you made in demo mode are discarded. Your real data is untouched while you're in demo mode.

Danger Zone

Contains the option to permanently delete all data in your account. There is a confirmation step, but there is no undo. Download a backup first.
